Collaboration amplified in national campaign

Introducing Falls Prevention Alliance Australia.

Rotary’s Regionalisation Pilot is proving its power to connect and amplify impact across Australia, with the launch of the Falls Prevention Alliance Australia on 21 October 2025 serving as a standout example.
 
Falls are a leading cause of injury among older Australians and causes up to 17 deaths per day in Australia, costing the national health service industry up to 3 billion dollars. The Alliance aims to tackle this issue through national collaboration with a wide network of community groups, professional associations, consumers, academics, service providers and health professionals. The initiative is focused on raising awareness about healthy ageing and fall prevention strategies. Rotary South Pacific is excited to partner with the Alliance to enable further awareness and support of prevention strategies across Rotary’s network of volunteers and community members.
 
 
The Alliance’s launch was livestreamed nationally, with nine events held simultaneously in Perth, Adelaide, Hobart, Melbourne, Canberra, Batemans Bay, Newcastle, Brisbane and Lismore. These coordinated events showcased the strength of the Alliance’s reach and the potential of Rotary’s regional pilot in action – whereby local clubs were invited to contribute meaningfully to a national movement.
 
Falls Prevention Alliance Australia’s partnership with Rotary South Pacific demonstrates how the regional pilot fosters strategic partnerships and shared purpose. This campaign exemplifies how Rotary’s evolving structure is helping clubs work together more effectively, scale their efforts, and deliver lasting impact for older Australians.
