Short and Long Term Exchange Opportunities through Rotary

Rotary Clubs in the South Pacific Region offer a range of short and long-term exchange opportunities, from 2 weeks to a full year, for high school students, young adults and members of Rotary.

Build life-long friendships, broaden your understanding of the world, and experience first hand a different region’s people, food, languages, customs, and history.

Rotary Youth Exchange sponsors students aged 15 -18 years to spend 4-8 weeks (short term) or 12 months (long term) attending a secondary school and living with host families in a foreign country. Host families (who do not need to be Rotarians) are sought to host in-bound students to Australia and New Zealand.

Australia Japan Youth Cultural Exchange is a 2 week exchange from Perth to Saitama in January, with a Japanese team reciprocating in March, for people aged 18 to 30.

Friendship Exchange is an international exchange program for Rotary members and friends that allows participants to take turns hosting one another in their homes and clubs. You can travel as an individual, couple, family, or group, with the exchange themed on culture, service, or vocation.
