Specialists are here to help you (for free!)
At Rotary South Pacific, we’re committed to supporting Rotary clubs across 16 countries, including Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. One way that we offer support is through the Specialist Hub.

What is the Specialist Hub?

This free website helps Rotary members to find information or support for club specific challenges.

Find Rotary members who have a wealth of experience and knowledge to share with you or your Rotary club.

Specialities range from club governance, insurance, public image, fundraising, peace building and more.

Meet a Specialist

For Specialist, John Dodd from the Rotary Club of Ryde, it's an opportunity to put decades of professional and Rotary experience to good use.

“I get questions about insurance, the governance and the youth protection. I’m actually utilising my profession in my Rotary service.”

As a Rotarian for more than 40 years, John supports clubs with insurance, governance and youth protection enquiries. He says the Specialist Hub allows clubs to access advice in areas they may not encounter often.

“It means that they can tap into people like me to assist them in specialist areas where they wouldn’t otherwise know anything about.”

Supporting clubs to do amazing projects

Many Rotary projects are innovative, ambitious and impactful. Sometimes, clubs simply need guidance to ensure they're managing risk appropriately and meeting insurance requirements.

John says helping clubs overcome those challenges is one of the most rewarding aspects of being a Specialist.

“If I can steer them in the right direction, then those really good Rotarians with their terrific programs can do them securely, so they can feel like they’re covered.”

By helping clubs navigate complex issues, Specialists enable members to focus on what matters most – creating positive change in their communities.
