What is the Falls Prevention Alliance?
Falls are a leading cause of injury among older Australians and causes up to 17 deaths per day in Australia, costing the national health service industry up to 3 billion dollars. The Alliance aims to tackle this issue through national collaboration with a wide network of community groups, professional associations, consumers, academics, service providers and health professionals, raising awareness about healthy ageing and fall prevention strategies.
